FONDATION MAEGHT VERSION 2010.

Je ne dirais pas non à faire de la Fondation Maeght ma nouvelle maison. Complètement rénovée, elle donne envie d'y séjourner d'une manière définitive. Véritable institution à Saint-Paul-de-Vence et bien au-delà, la fondation Aimé et Marguerite Maeght vient de réouvrir ses portes après de longs mois de travaux.Pas de changements au niveau architectural mais plus au niveau technique ce qui permet aux bâtiments de la Fondation de retrouver la pureté de leurs lignes tout en dissimulant une haute technicité. En résumé, on gagne un meilleur confort de visite.

On a la joie de (re)voir sa collection permanente, ses jardins taillés au millimètre et incitant à  l'introspection. Une véritable ode à l'art moderne.

Aficionados de l'art, si vous avez l'occasion d'y passer cet été, une rétrospective d'Alberto Giacometti s'y déroulera du 27 juin au 31 octobre 2010.

I wouldn't say no making the Maeght Foundation my new house. Completely renovated, it just makes you want to stay there forever.  This huge institution located in Saint-Paul-de-Vence(South of France) just re-opended its doors after long months of building restoration. No big changes at the architectural level but more on the technical side which allows the foundation to find again its line purity by hiding its high technicity. To sum up, the visitor gains in confort.

We are happy to (re)see its permanent collection, its perfect gardens encouraging towards introspection. A real ode to modern art.
